Save the Sea is project with the main aim to point out the problem of plastic usage all over the Mediterranean Sea, especially Balearic Island.
Every year millions of tons of garbage, especially plastic, are thrown away in Europe after being used once. Plastic bags, plastic bottles are among the most common finds on the beach. Most of the waste comes from the countryside, carelessly thrown away and carried over rivers and the wind into the sea. In addition, the entries from shipping, fisheries and the offshore industry also play a major role regionally. Each and every one of us can help to make the oceans cleaner - marine protection begins at home. Our consumption and disposable behavior can help to ensure the survival of the diverse marine world.
